New Diagnoses Codes Effective October 1!
On October 1st, the CDC's 2009 diagnosis code (ICD-9) changes become effective. Your office should learn about the changes to diagnoses you frequently use in order to update your Partner Diagnoses table. New Fever diagnosis codes are particularly important to pediatric offices. All fever diagnoses now require a 5th digit.

PCC Receives KLAS Award for Highest Scores Ever
PCC is the proud recipient of the KLAS 10-Year Anniversary award for "High Scorer." The High Scorer award is given by industry-leading research firm KLAS Enterprises to the vendor with the highest overall score in their decade of provider rankings, with a high degree of confidence. PCC's Partner software scored 96.98 (out of 100) in 2005, earning us the High Scorer Award.
We also earned the highest overall score by any company in any category in the 2006 KLAS year-end report of health care information technology (HIT) vendors. PCC Expands Electronic Eligibility Payor Connections
PCC has added electronic eligibility verification to Partner for two new payors! You can now submit electronic eligibility requests to TN BCBS and TX BCBS. We hope to expand our eligibility offerings even more in 2007, under your 2007 PCC Care Plan.
With three ways to review your eligibility results (on the individual account, in an e-mailed report, or in the ECS Reports program), you'll know which patients need to provide updated insurance information before they even arrive for their appointments! Practices Must Use New ICD-9 Version 24 Codes to Avoid Claim Rejection
ICD-9 diagnosis and procedure codes are established by the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services. As of October 1, 2006, you must be using version 24 of the ICD-9 codes from CMS. Your Partner Software will be automatically updated with the new code set prior to October 1. Claims submitted with invalid ICD-9 codes will be rejected by Medicaid and other payors.
PCC's Partner software checks your ICD-9 codes against CMS' new list of valid, HIPAA-compliant codes. Users are warned of non-compliant codes when posting charges and when making updates through the "correct mistakes" program to a code already posted. Partner again notifies users of claims containing invalid ICD-9 codes at the point of electronic claim submission. These claims are held for replacement with HIPAA-compliant codes before they can be rejected by the payor, saving your practice time and money.
PCC provides a plain text file of the new, complete, invalid, and revised codes to easily update your Partner tables.
