Chip Hart, Director of PCC's Pediatric Solutions Team, will help you analyze and improve your coding practices. You'll benefit from Chip's 16 years of experience in working with pediatric practices to improve their reimbursement throughout the UC06 coursework.
Curtis Mayse, MBA, SMPE, CPC, principal of Larson Allen will lead a small business management course designed to help you hone your business administration skills. Curtis will focus on expenditures, budgeting, and financial benchmarking related to independent pediatric practices like yours.
Coding expert Donelle Holle, R.N., will be joining us again this year. She will cover basic coding concepts, pediatric coding updates for 2006, and an introductory course on chart auditing. You'll reap the financial rewards of proper coding practices following her instruction.
Laura Morrow, of Morrow & Associates, LLC, will teach courses on insurance contract negotiation. Laura has over 20 years of negotiation experience. Laura will give you tools to analyze and negotiate the contract language to maximize top-line revenue in her Negotiating the Best Managed Care Insurance Contracts course. She will also host an instructional role-playing session to help you confidently negotiate your contracts at the table.
Pamela Moore, PhD, CPC, senior editor for Physicians Practice, the nation's leading practice management journal, will present Best Practice in Pediatrics and Conflict Resolution: Getting the Best from Staff and Partners. Her recognized expertise in practice management will help you take the best advantage of the people making your practice possible.
Keynote: Bright Futures Initiative
Joseph F. Hagan, Jr., M.D., F.A.A.P., of Hagan and Rinehart Pediatricians, PLLC, South Burlington, Vermont will provide our keynote address over breakfast on Thursday. Dr. Hagan is a committee chairperson of the AAP's Bright Futures initiative. Bright Futures promotes the preventive care and overall health of infants, children, adolescents, and their families through consensus and education.
