a hodgepodge of questions: Vistaril, Rotashield, Prevenar, warts, and S.I.D.

Todays lot of questions:
1.- Are any of you giving IM Vistaril as an antiemetic in the office?
2.- A parent asks for a refund on the price of two Rotashield vaccines I
gave his baby because the series was not completed and therefore the verbal
contract of a three vaccine series is null and void. Comments?
3.- I gave a Pneumovax to a child with Down syndrome and recurrent otitis
media last year when the child was two. Would you give this child a dose of
the new vaccine when it becomes available with the thought that it would be
more immunogenic?
4.- A couple of months ago I asked if anybody was using SQ candida antigen
as a treatment for warts based on a small article in Pediatric News. Nobody
responded. Well, we decided to try if on a few children with pain in the
neck warts which had not responded to anything and guess what- it worked
great!!!!!!! I hope a "real" study is truly in the works.
5.- Has anybody read the book "The Out of Sync Child" about sensory
integration dysfunction?
I've heard it mentioned twice in the last couple weeks and I didn't even
know it existed.
O.K- I guess that is enough for now.
Thanks- Kim Burlingham, MD Winnsboro, TX Solo peds.
