This is my heartfelt "thank you" to the members of this list. I've been following it for several years because, as a student FNP, I realized pediatrics is a weak area for me, and figured I would learn a lot from professional discussions among those in pediatric practice. I didn't realize until this week how right I was! I'm finally doing clinicals in my FNP program, and was there this past week when my preceptor listened in on a teleconference on Synergis. Thanks to the regular discussions on here every year along the lines of "I've had my first 817 cases of RSV this week, how about you?" I was familiar with the RSV seasonality and the high cost of the prophylaxis. (Wasn't it around $1500/dose?) In this small rural practice, fragile or very sick kids are sent an hour away to Cheyenne, so preventative care of young preemies simply hasn't come up. And because *I* knew a little about it from your discussions, my preceptor now thinks I know something. <g> Thank you thank you thank you! <back to listening-and-learning mode> Sylvia Steiger RN SFNP BS, Cheyenne Wyoming USA http://ourworld.compuserve.com/homepages/SylviaRN/
